Daily Bible Reading: June 27 - July 3

This week we cover some very important events and teachings in the life of Christ. I pray that you are edified by the insights we share on these Scriptures.

In our reading on June 29th in Mark 10, we will hear of the love Jesus has for children. As parents, we realize the great responsibility to raise our children to love God and His Word and to live God glorifying lives. In light of this, I am offering two new books at specially discounted prices for our July special. Both books address the danger of our children being led astray from the faith and help equip parents to better fulfill their roles as guardians of their children's spiritual lives.

Daily Bible Reading: June 13 - 19

Reading: Leviticus 26:1-20

Chapter 26 of Leviticus is a very interesting chapter because in it God details the blessings Israel will receive for walking in obedience to His statutes and the cursing they will receive if they refuse to obey. In your reading today, you read only 20 verses. Of those twenty verses, 11 addressed the blessings for obedience and 7 addressed the cursing for disobedience. One of the interesting things about this chapter is that so many of the remaining verses will speak to the cursing for disobedience. God's displeasure for unfaithfulness is made abundantly clear.

Reading: Leviticus 21:1-24

Chapter 21 of Leviticus contains God's instruction through Moses concerning some specific things about the priests. Remember the priests of Israel came from the children of Aaron. So, this was told to "the priests the sons of Aaron" as it mentions in verse 1.

Daily Bible Reading: May 30 - June 5

This week we continue through the middle of the Book of Leviticus. Even though these Scriptures were written to a people that lived over 3500 years ago, and speak of situations that they were facing, these writings have great relevance for us today. I hope you see some of that in what you read and reflect upon this week.

Daily Bible Reading: March 7 - 13
Below are the readings and devotionals for this week. This week we will read of the great deliverance and care that God provided for the Israelites as the left Egypt and traveled through the wilderness. This God of the Old Testament is the same God of deliverance and care today. Also, our book specials this month focus on leading our families in the Christian faith. Family Driven Faith and Family Man, Family Leader are tremendous books that present the Biblical purpose and vision for the family, and give practical guidance to fulfilling it.

Feb 28-March 6 Bible Reading
This week we will be reading and meditating upon the great plagues God brought upon Egypt. These wonderful events of Scripture are not just stories, they are true events that were purposed by God for the people of that time, their descendants, AND for you and me today. They teach us, as they were teaching those of the time of Moses, that the Lord God is sovereign over all the earth.

Dr. Russ Humphreys, one of the world's leading Creation Scientists will be coming to speak in Boise, Idaho February 26th to March 1st!

Who is Dr. Russ Humphreys?

Dr Humphreys was born on 2 February 1942 in Wyandotte, Michigan, U.S.A., and was raised in a scientifically aware but non�Christian household. Not surprisingly, Russell himself always had a love for science, and in 1959, he was one of the 40 winners of the Westinghouse National Science Talent Search. He received a B.S. degree in physics at Duke University, 1959�1963. After this, he moved to Louisiana State University (LSU) to study postgraduate physics. In 1969, while doing his dissertation research for LSU in the mountains of Colorado, he committed his life to Christ. In 1972, he was awarded a Ph.D. in physics, on cosmic rays and ultrahigh energy nucleon�nucleon interactions, by which time he was a fully convinced creationist due to both the biblical and scientific evidence. For the next 6 years he worked in the High Voltage Laboratory of General Electric Company, designing and inventing equipment and researching high�voltage phenomena. While there, he received a U.S. patent and one of Industrial Research Magazine's IR�100 awards.

Daily Bible Reading: August 24th - September 7th

Date: August 24 Reading: Luke 1:1-25

Today, we begin reading in the third book of the New Testament � the Gospel of Luke. This is not only the third Gospel in the Bible, but it is also known as one of the three Synoptic Gospels (the others being Matthew and Mark). The reason for these being called Synoptic Gospels is because of the common way in which they are written being very chronological and addressing many of the same stories. Even thou this is the case, it is interesting to compare how each of these first three Gospels begins their story of the Life of Jesus Christ.

Date: August 18 Reading: Numbers 32:1-42

The children of Reuben and Gad see that the land on the east side of the Jordan is really very good land for grazing cattle. They decide that it is where they want to settle instead of crossing the Jordan and entering the land that the Lord had promised to the descendents of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. So, they come to Moses, Eleazar and the leaders of Israel to make their desires known.

Date: August 11 Reading: Numbers 26:12-37

The very last verses of Numbers chapter 25 state the the Lord has called upon Moses to bring the Israelites against the Midianites that brought Israel into sin. This was a call to war. Thus, in preparation for war, the Lord has Moses number all the en 20 years of age and older that are able to go to war. You started the reading of this counting yesterday and today's reading is only a listing of several tribes names, their prominent families and the counting of their able-bodied men. The Israelites have been wandering in the wilderness and it is time to take the steps to conquer the Promised Land.

Numbers chapter 19 is focused on the cleansing of those who become unclean because they have been around a person that has died. Though some of the practices sound a little mystical, we need to be sure that we do not miss the practical as well.
