Description: Kuyper's monumental "Encyclopedia of Sacred Theology" was the fruit of university lectures on the structure of theological science. It was John Calvin who gave the doctrine of "Common Grace" to the world as a legitimate part of systematic theology, but it was Kuyper who developed it into a full-orbed pattern of truth, linking science, art, philosophy, and theology into one system of general culture for the Christian. "Common Grace" forms much of the basis for what follows in Kuyper's exposition of the "Theological Encyclopedia".
