Held at the Westside Bible Church, 2040 E. Fairview Ave., Meridian, Idaho (1/4 mile east of Locust Grove) this 'Battle for Truth' takes place April 16th-18th, 2009.
The speakers this year are Eric Ludy, John Eidsmoe, David Barrett, Elysse Barrett, and Liberty Barrett.
Eric Ludy is a best-selling author who has penned ten books, including The Bravehearted Gospel and the long-running relationships classic When God Writes Your Love Story, which he co-authored with his wife. He is an advocate for the orphan, a stalwart proponent of the Gospel, and at the end of every day, to his wife, Leslie, and his three children, Hudson, Harper, and Kipling, he's ultimately a family man. Eric lives in Windsor, Colorado. His popular blogs and podcasts on the deeper Christian life can be found at www.ericludy.com.
John Eidsmoe is a retired Air Force Lt. Colonel and Alabama State Defense Force Colonel, Headquarters Judge Advocate, Deputy Chaplain and Training Officer. He is a Proffessor of Law at the Oak Brook College of Law and Government Policy. He is currently Legal Counsel for the Foundation for Moral Law. John is an Ordained Pastor and serves on the Board of Lutherans for Life and the Plymouth Rock Foundation. He is a constitutional attorney who has defended home schools and Christian schools. He has authored 13 books and numerous audio and video lecture series. He and his wife Marlene have three children and live in rural Alabama.
David Barrett is the Director of the Biblical Worldview Learning Center. He has worked in the educational field since 1985 as a homeschool father of seven, the leader of a local homeschool organization and since 1993 as administrator and high school instructor at Covenant Academy, a private Christian school. He is the co-author of Fathers and Daughters: Raising Polished Cornerstones (2006).
Elysse and Liberty Barrett serve with the Biblical Worldview Learning Center. They are both passionate about the spread of God's Word and Truth throught the world. Elysse is the Clinic Manager of a life-affirmimg Medical clinic specializing in unexpected pregnancy care. Liberty is the founder of JEM Friends, an organization which supports youth transitioning out of foster care and Children's homes. They are both accomplished speakers and writers.
The Conference starts on Thursday, April 16th with doors opening at 4:30 pm and the General Session, "The Bravehearted Gospel" at 7:00pm. This Session is FREE and open to the Whole Family!
On Friday, April 17th, the doors open at 8:00am with a General Session, "The Battle for the Truth" at 9:00am. From 10:30am - 3:40pm are split sessions and shopping in our Vendor Hall. At 4:00pm a chess simul will be held, in which Caleb Kircher will take on all challengers simultaneously! The Friday evening session is at 7:00 pm and will be followed by the showing of a family-friendly film!
Saturday, April 18th willl also begin with a General Session at 9:00 am and split sessions until 1:00 pm. There is a Final General Session (directly following lunch) at 2:30pm.
